The first film I’ve seen at this year’s Sundance Film Festival is Buck, a documentary in U.S. Competition directed by Cindy Meehl. Real-life cowboy Buck Brannaman is considered a living legend in the horse world and was the real-life inspiration for The Horse Whisperer, which was directed by Sundance founder Robert Redford, who is also interviewed in the film. Finally. Buck Brannaman has impacted so many lives during his journey. He taught me much about
myself while I attended one of his clinics; I will never be the same. Thank you to Buck, and thank you to
the people who made this documentary, something that is long overdue.
